Canarians are ready to make its return to the competition.
Herbalife Gran Canaria will face Promitheas Patras from Greece; Dolomiti Energia Trento from Italy; Cedevita Olimpija Ljlubljana from Croatia; Frutti Extra Bursaspor from Turkey; and Nanterre 92 from France in the upcoming 7Days EuroCup competition.
It will be the return for Herbalife Gran Canaria to European competitions. Willy Villar, new General Manager, talked about the draw:
“It’s tough to say right now which teams are going to be more or less competitive because the rosters are not done yet. We will have to wait and see. The travel part was one thing that worried us and it could have been worse”.
“We are happy to be back at EuroCup, there are only 24 teams and all of them want to compete. We’ll be ready since day one”.
“It’s really hard to beat any team at their home court. We’ll have to try and win all the games possible at home and then try to get some road wins. We are not hiding our main goal: to make it to the next phase. We face this competition with the best attitude possible but also with respect”.
