Herbalife Gran Canaria beat MoraBanc Andorra by 13 points and got a ticket to the Liga Endesa Playoffs.
Herbalife Gran Canaria won 98:85 its game against MoraBanc Andorra which allowed them to make the Playoffs for the 13th time in their history. It was a calm, placid game for Aito Garcia Reneses’ players.
Alen Omic and Sasu Salin combined in the first quarter for 17 of the 22 points Herbalife Gran Canaria scored. At halftime, the islanders lead was 11 points. However, MoraBanc Andorra tried to fight back and they were down just by six with 14 minutes left -56:50.
But Herbalife Gran Canaria didn’t care about that. They still played their game. Quick transitions, great activity in the pass lines, and good shooting percentages from two and three point line.
At the end the result was 98:85. That, with an Iberostar Tenerife defeat in the afternoon, allowed Herbalife Gran Canaria to clinch a spot in the Playoffs. It will be the 13th appearance for the Canarian team, the third in a row. Right now, Granca is 5th in the ACB rankings, just one win shy to tie with Laboral Kutxa Baskonia in the 4th position.
