Herbalife Gran Canaria kicks off its preseason

The first practice of 2016/17 preseason is already in the books for Herbalife Gran Canaria.

Finally the day has come as Herbalife Gran Canaria players and staff gathered at Gran Canaria Arena to start the preseason. With Luis Casimiro as the new head coach and Royce O’Neale being the only fresh face in the pack, the Canarian team completed its first practice of the preseason.

Along with O’Neale, players Albert Oliver, Kyle Kuric, Eulis Baez, Pablo Aguilar, Xavi Rabaseda, Oriol Pauli and Anzejs Pasecniks were there. The vacant spots were filled by EBA players Joaquin Portugues, Saulo Roman, Rokas Gadiliauskas, Klavs Cavars and Kristaps Gluditis. The team expect to have Darko Planinic and Sasu Salin in the island in the coming days.

Baez and Kuric talked to the media prior the practice. The Dominican PF said that he was «eager to start the season. We have to wait and see what the new coach wants from us» he said, «but it’s looking good». Kyle Kuric expects to have a quiet season in a health level. «I’m even a little bit better in some areas» the 27 years old said.
